Gov. Socrates inducts new set of officers of Palawan Tourism Council

PALAWAN Gov. Dennis Socrates is the inducting officer for the new set of officers, of Palawan Tourism Council headed by Rix Rafols as the President for the second term, he is join by Angeli Natasha Mendoza as Vice President Central, Francisco Fernandez, Jr. as Vice President North, Kharla Luneta as Vice President South, Michelle Valdez, Corporate Secretary, Nathaniel Besid, Assistant Secretary, Deborah Tan, Treasurer and Christy Jimeno as Auditor, board of trustees includes Donald Keith Bognoson, Hazel Grace Lamparero, Guen Villanueva, Maritess Ongoco and Margarette Lumauag.

The induction happen last January 25, 2 in the afternoon at the Governor’s Conference room in the Capitol Complex.

On his speech, Rafols take emphasize on giving work as priority for his term as the President of the council, he admit that his first term was affected much by the pandemic, and it result to many of his plans and project not being implemented.

But this time he assure, that he will be proactive along with his new set of officers, there are a lot of things they are planning to do, and he is optimistic that they can deliver this time.

Among they wish to do this time, is to have more advertisement of Palawan tourism to attract more tourist, and to push for food tourism in the province.

For Governor Socrates, he said that the local executive is very much open to help and assist the council, for whatever legal and political structure they need, and for anything for the good of tourism in Palawan.

The Palawan Tourism Council was established in 1996 composed of private sectors from tourism industry of the province, it aims to promote tourism, assess its effect on the economy, and contributes to development.
