Poland Consulate Office in Palawan is now open

Palawan now has a consulate office, the first in the City of Puerto Princesa and in the province is the Honorary consulate office of the Republic of Poland, it was open last March 14 and was attended by key local key officials and Poland Ambassador in the Philippines Chargé D’ Affaires a.i. Mr. Jarosław Szczepankiewicz.

The very reason they open an office in the Province is primarily because of tourism, Palawan is one of the top favourite of Polish people, and having an office here will add security to its people, and to strengthen its ties with the Filipino people in terms of cultural affairs, tourism, technology and business cooperation.

According to Poland Honorary Consul Mr. Juan Andre Lacson, aside from protecting Polish tourist who go to Palawan, the establishing of the its office is a sign of friendship that aiming development and better relations.

The Poland consulate team also visit the town of San Vicente and held a meeting with the local officials, according to Ambassador Szczepankiewicz, Port Barton in the said town is among his people most likely want to visit and enjoy holiday there, they also set to visit El Nido.

Poland Consulate Office in Puerto Princesa is located at 2nd Floor of True Care Bldg, Solid Road ng Brgy. San Manuel. Among the top local officials who attended the opening are Palawan Gov. Dennis Socrates, Palawan 3rd District Cong. Edward Hagedorn, City Vice Mayor Nancy Socrates, City Administrator Atty Arnel Pedrosa representing Mayor Lucilo Bayron, PNP Provincial Director Pcol Adinis Guzman, City PNP Deputy Director for administration PLtCol Aristotle Castillo, Provincial Tourism Officer Maribel Buñi and so many others.

As per City tourism Office in  2018 there are 3209 Polish Tourists that visit Puerto Princesa, and in 2019 there are  3,043 Polish that visit the province, 2, 176 of them stay in El Nido. Past pandemic Palawan as of 2022 data recorded a 911 Polish tourists arrivals.
